The Sens-Őr's team participated in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime project: "Strengthening the Capacity of the Mobile Operational Teams of the Counter Narcotics Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic."

In August 2023, Law enforcement experts from all five Central Asia countries and other international stakeholders convened for a regional meeting to discuss innovative methods to counter drug trafficking and prevent criminal groups' misuse of commercial drones. It was an excellent opportunity for our team to share its best practices with a large group of professionals representing such diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

During the event, we introduced Omtrex and Omtrex Compact security systems to the participants of the session and demonstrated its operational capabilities on the ground.

Case:

Operative personnel used an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to track and locate illegal crops. To complete the operation, law enforcement officers needed to obtain visual confirmation of the illegal activity and identify the criminals. The terrain of this place did not allow operatives to ambush close to the growing field. Thus, an innovative solution was needed to detect offenders remotely and make further investigation decisions.

Solution:

As a solution to this case, we proposed using the Omtrex security system, which works autonomously in places with complex landscapes. This system is well camouflaged and can be activated within minutes.

Step 1: It was decided to install two SNG seismic sensors and a breakwire sensor on the approaches to the crop field. Eventually our team was able to record the passage of a pedestrian and a car in the detection zone of the sensors.

Step 2: According to the GPS coordinates of the sensors installation, pre-loaded into the drone route map, after the system was triggered, two UAVs were directed to confirm and observe the offenders visually.

As a final result of the operation, the location of the drug storage facility and the suspects involved in these illegal activities were identified and localized.
